Heroic and Landmark Responsa that have impacted on Jewish History, Part I, the Jewish Family. In today's shiur we will discuss a Teshuva of the Radbaz (16th Cent) and how it impacted on a variety of contemporary issues in the laws of Yichud. We will then discuss the issue of adoption and does the Halacha recognize a parental relationship between the adoptive parent and the adopted child? We conclude with an introduction to the issue of civil marriages and the Teshuva of the Rivash.
