    1. Title: Is lying to non-Jewish people acceptable

I have recently had a conversation with a person who is really biased against people who follow the Torah. The argument had to do with that the Torah promotes lying to non-Jewish people. I understand the concept of dishonesty is nuanced. Keeping the peace is one thing, but is there anything in the Torah that says that Jewish people should lie to Christians in order to gain advantage? Is there a line in the Torah that support honesty with non-Jewish?
