Description

Israel needs the creation of a uniquely Israeli version of the Modern Orthodox outlook. In this talk, I define the terms, and present the weaknesses of MO as often understood. Based on the teachings of Rav Soloveitchik, I present a model that can serve to critically engage the outside world, while preserving the integrity of Torah and creating a language by which Jewish identity and knowledge can be deepened throughout the Jewish population of Eretz Yisrael--- Lecture Held at the Maccabean Society in Jerusalem
