Masechet Megilla 7b: More on the omission of על הניסים in benching; the sugya of מכשירי אוכל נפש. In the first part of today's shiur we will discuss the controversy between the Maharshal & the Magen Avraham re: one who omitted Al HaNissim in benching on Purim. We will study a Teshuva of R' Akiva Eiger differentiating between Simcha which requires בשר ויין but not פת וסעודה, and Kibbud which generated a חיוב פת. On Purim there is Simcha but not Kibbud.
