R' Rakeffet claims that Rabbi Soloveitchik and Nechama Leibowitz are the 2 best minds of the 20th century. The respect I have for Nechama and her wonderful books on chumash [from which I benefited] is in no way minimized if I express my utter shock and astonishment at such an absurd claim. Nechama had a better mind than the Rogochover Gaon? Than Rav Chaim Brisker? Than Rav Aharon Kotler? Rav Yitzchak Hutner? Rav Shimon Shkop? The list goes on and on and on of Gaonim that Nechama, with all of her merits in spreading Torah, would herself admit that she is not in their league [excuse the faulty grammer:-)].
