Hashkafa for Bechukosai: the concept of נטפלים לעושי מצוה & the Martyrdom of Rebbe Akiva. In this shiur we will accept the paradoxical concept - which we find in Chazal regarding the decision of Hashem for 'shrinking' the moon and the 'kapara" (atonement) which HaKaB"Hu needed for that - we find the same concept in the mystical works of the Ar"i Za"l regarding HaKaB"Hu's participation in the Beis Din of the שבטים at the time of מכירת יוסף. Obviously Hashem is perfect in His Justice - הצור תמים פעלו - but yet in order to bring Yosef down to Mitzrayim, He became a נטפל. What is a נטפל? In the case of an עבירה how terrible is it to be a נטפל? On the other hand, in the case of עושי מצוה, how great is it to be a נטפל? How infinite is the reward?
