Description

Mosheh's protestations that he is "heavy of mouth and heavy of tongue" (כבד פה וכבד לשון) at his stand at the burning bush, along with his follow-up repeated protest of being "of uncircumcised lips" has been the focus of many a Midrash, a commentary and a study until the modern era. Whether Mosheh had a speech impediment or his erudition was deficient is one of the key questions. However, there is another difficulty in his words of protest which, if solved, may hold the key to the entire conundrum.
