Description

The word Toldot is used to introduce what one left behind in this world, their contributions. For someone like Yishamel or Eisav that is just children but for the Avot it is also all their good actions and mitzvot they did in this world. Sefer Breishit's structure is surrounded by the Toldot of each of the Avot. The issue of the Yaacov and Eisav with the bechora and bracha is also part of this. It is the final selection of who will be carrier of bracha in this world, as has been the selection all the generations previously.
