This is a Hashkafa & Halacha for Parshas Balakdivided into two parts: One, how Hashem foiled Bilam's plans to curse the Jewish People based on the insight of the Vilna Gaon; Two, writing & sanctifying the Names Elokim and Yud Keh in the laws of Sefer Torah. In the latter part of the shiur we seek to define the first half of these two Names, does Kel of Elokim forn an independent entity with Kedushas Hashem? Does Yud Key form a Name unto itself? Based upon the sugya in Yoma the Poskim seem to determine the status of these two shorter Names and answer the quuestion: are printed Books with Hashem's Names Holy?
