In this Parsha & Hashkafa shiur for Parshas Tazria we will try to understand the meaning & message that underlies the absolute requirement of ראיית הכהן for Tum'as Tzara'as. We will highlight the insight of the Sefer המה ינחמוני. We will base ourselves on the following premises: No Tuma without the declaration of the Kohen; No Tumah without the Kohen seeing the נגע: the Kohen himself may not know how to recognize טומאה; the sin of the מצורע is לשון הרע; the main cause of Lashon HaRa is the making of what one hears primary & adding one's subjective 'editorial' commentary rather than sticking to what one sees and leaving out the derogatory commentary.
