This is a Hashkafa for shiur for Parshas Vayeishev based on the insights of the Tolne Rebby in his המה ינחמוני. We will focus on the Torah's emphasis upon the pleasant odors of the spices that were in the Yishmeli caravan that brought Yosef down to Mitzrayim. How are we meant to understand the great significance accorded by Chazal to this seemingly trivial miracle. Is this all the Tzaddikim can hope for as reward for their righteousness?!
