Description

What role did shemirat ha'mitzvot play among early followers of Christianity? Who had to keep mitzvot, and who did not? In this class we examine a strand of early Christian writing which features the argument that all Christians need to keep the Torah. What does this tell us about these early Christians, and what should we - Orthodox Jews living in the 21st century - think about these figures? Do they represent sympathetic figures, or perhaps something more troubling?
