Description

The encampment in the desert is clearly designed to surround the Mishkan. We often think of the Mishkan as either being interchangeable with the Beit HaMikdash, or simply a placeholder until we build the Beit HaMikdash. What is the inherent purpose of the Mishkan in Jewish history? Building off of that, we explore what it means to create a machaneh Shechina and how that is accomplished through the individual gifts of the Nesiim, unified though the power of Birkat Kohanim. (Part of HaMidrasha at QC, OU-JLIC's Torah learning program for women at Queens College)
