We continue our study of the insights of the Rav into Kriyas HaTorah. The Rambam, based upon the Yerushalmi, writes that the 'Meturgeman' must stand. This is based on receiving the Torah at Sinai באימה וביראה. Regarding the Reader, in the case of Megilla the Raambam requires standing לכתחילה based upon the reason כבוד הציבור. These are two different Halachos with differences LeHalacha. In the latter half of this shiur we will investigate: who is obligated in the Kruya, the Tzibbur or the individual? This will lead us to a discussion between Reb Elya Pruzener & his Mechutan, Reb Chaim Brisker.
