Our "rebuke" (תוכחה) makes mention of Hashem destroying our "Sanctuaries" - in the plural! How many Mikdashim are envisioned from the perspective of Sefer Vayikra? A brief overview of the claims of the adherents of the Documentary Hypothesis and their pointing to the differences between the picture painted by Vayikra as opposed to that in Devarim is presented, followed by an argument in favor of understanding the Divine Law as evolving with the people and their moral-religious station is advanced. An argument is made that the original vision as presented in Shemot-Vayikra is changed by the end of the desert travels and that change is reflected in Devarim.
