Description

We will study the question of the choice of the Haftora for Parshat Acharei-Mot Kedoshim, namely the reading of the Haftora from Amos, which is the Haftora of Acharei-Mot? The rule for a double-parsha is to read the Haftora of the second parsha; yet in this case, and only in this case, the Minhag insists that we forgo the Haftora of Kedoshim from Yechezkel in favor of הלא אתם בני כושיים, from Amos. We will see the interpretation of this verse offered by the Gemora in Moed Katan which is embellished by the Malbim. We will dedicate the last part of this shiur to a study of various ספיקות that arise with regard to Sefiras HaOmer.
