In the Beis Din shel ma’ala (heavenly court) G-d will ask us if we acted with the understanding that there is a world beyond this one. Nothing truly dies – it only changes forms. The month of Nisan teaches us to realize that everything in this world is merely a beginning that will ultimately pass on to another world. We should never compromise our spiritual life for physical pleasures.
