      Dear Rabbi Schacter, Thank you so much for your explanation of Kol Nidrei. Till now, in order to find some meaning to Kol Nidrei and its importance, I would remind myself of the Marranos plight and how poignant this tefilla was for them. Well, amazing how wrong that was! I think this year it'll be more meaningful to me. I'm wondering why, if we follow the explanation for saying Shecheyanu, do women not wait till they get to shul in order to say the bracha at the same time as the men, rather than do it at candle lighting?
