We will study the landmark Teshuva of the Rivash, as well as the opposing view of the Tashbeitz. The issue revolves around the question of the definition of kiddushei biah. A Jewish couple was married in a Catholic ceremony; yet they wish to live as husband and wife with a continuous and permanent relationship of marriage. Does the chazaka of Ein Adam Oseh Bi'ilaso Beilas Znus apply to Jews who do not pursue a Jewish marriage? ? Is kavana leshem Kidusshin Kedas Moshe VeYisrael an absolute prerequisite for kiddushei biah.
