Description

What is the greatness of Moshe? Why does HaShem chose the name Moshe amongst the ten names? What does the mishna in Avot mean by: Noseh BeOl im chavero? How can one help alleviate the suffering of others? Why were the Jews worthy of redemption from Mitzrayim? What is the symbolic meaning of the "splitting of the pieces" in the Bris bein HaBesarim? In this mussar shmooze we will try to address these questions based on the insights of the Rishonim and the Mussar giants. We thank Rav Noach Olbaum for collecting many of the sources onto a single sheet which we got a copy of. The words of the Kovna Rav when he addressed the Jews outside the ghettos & death camps of Europe have been added to strengthen the central message of Parshat Shemot.
