Description

First of 7 part weekly series. In the Jewish calendar, the fall is designated as a time of renewal, repentance and reflection. An effective holiday season not only leaves one’s slate clean of sins but also prepares one for a year of personal development and growth. This class will study the laws and customs of this time period with an eye towards understanding their psychological and philosophical underpinnings. By the end of the seven sessions, we hope to not only gain insight into the character of the holiday season but also gain a better understanding of our own character, enabling us to effectively chart a productive course for the year ahead.
