The Gemora in Bava Batra 24a quotes a statement of Rava who presents three Halachik principles that he derives from Rebby Chiya. In this shiur we will analyze these three principles & their repercussions. In the second part of the shiur we will study the Sugya of Rav & Shmuel who argue about the barrel of wine found floating on a river outside a Jewish city which is located near a cluster of cities all of which border on the river. What is the nature of this controversy?
