<p>Rabbi Kanarfogel,</p> <p> </p> <p>Is it not possible that the Ra'avad gets the idea of subordinate kingship being required from the Aggada in Perek Cheilek where God, as it were, shakes Yerav'am by the lapels and tells him "do tshuvah and I, you and David will walk in gan Eden" and Yerav'am ask s "Mi barosh?" and refuses when God tells him David?</p>
