Description

We begin learning the laws of Taaruvos with the sugya of Taam K'Ikar. What is the halachic status of a non-kosher taste? The first source is the apodictic statement of Rabbi Yochanan and from there we see Rashi's position of Taam K'Ikar as Derabanan.
