Can Reish Lakish - Chatzi Shiur Muttar Min HaTorah - be reconciled with the medrash that holds that Adam ate less than a kezayit of the Eitz HaDaat. The Rambam holds that the shiur of Kezayit, like all shiurim, was only given to Yisrael and not to Bnei noach. Therefore Adan can be liable for eating even less than a kezayit. However not all accept the view of the Rambam. In this shiur we will investigate an alternative approach, namely, that Adam was planning to eat more from the Eitz, and therefore even Reish Lakish would agree that in such a case one would be liable for less than a kezayit.
