There is a puzzling section at the end of the Arami Oved Avi section of the Haggadah, which seems to emphasize arbitrary or nonexistent aspects of the Makkot. In this Shiur, I offer an explanation which sees these descriptions as related not to the Egyptians, but to the Jewish people.
