Description

Rambam (Maimonides) plays a central role in Chabad thought. This paper explores several important doctrines in Chabad thought: Monism (Achdut Hashem) The Tzadik, and mystical union through Torah. It shows how Rabbi Shneur Zalman of Liadi, the Alter Rebbe used a philosophical doctrine from Rambam, originally sourced in Aristotle, to ground and argue for all of these mystical/ symbolic premises.
