Description

It is very challenging to relate to the period of the three weeks, 9 days, and Tisha Bav- no one likes to be sad, and it is especially hard to be sad for something that we never personally had. Most of us therefore try to "get by" these weeks- and when it comes to educating our kids about Tisha Bav and discussing it with them, we tend to avoid the discussion. However, this is unfortunate both for our avodat Hashem and as parents. It is incumbent upon us to understand the "flow" of the Jewish year, to try and connect with all aspects of the year, and to realize that our chiyuv of chinuch applies to these times just as much as other parts of the year
