This shiur is part of a series of brief shiurim: a practical overview of Hilchos Shmitta. The primary focus will be on the halachos of purchasing, consuming and discarding food that was grown in a Shmitta year. That also includes the halachos of “Heter Mechira”, “Otzar Beis Din,” etc. (There will not be a major focus on owning or working a field or a garden.)
