Part of the Hellenist agenda involved breaching the soreg (partition) on the Har Habayit. An explanation of this based on an article by Rav Yosef Nusbacher (a Ram in Yeshivat Shaalvim) and some additional insights from Rav Gedalya Shor and the Netziv (as heard from Rav Baruch Simon).
