Description

Chazal teach that HKBH says, as it were, "My lamp will be in your hand, and your lamp will be in My hand." The Sfat Emet (5636 and 5646) develops this Midrash into a doctrine for understanding mitzvot, and our role in fulfilling them as a vehicle to become the embodiment of mitzvot themselves.
