In this shiur we will present some of the insights of Reb Chaim Volozhin as presented by Reb Chaim in his introduction to his Ruach Chaim on Avot. We will see that R' Chaim elaborates on these concepts in his classical work Nefesh HaChaim. We will study some of the sources in the later works that expand these ideas; these works are collected by HaRav Noach Olbaum shlita.
