The two seminal events in the formation of Klal Yisrael are Yetziat Mitzrayim and Matan Torah. In this shiur for Parshat Yitro al pi Ramban, we will compare the two events from the perspective of the profound impact of the miracles that transpired, and attempt to explain why Yetziat Mitzrayim is singled out as the episode that we must constantly remember. We don't find mitzvot that are meant to remind us of Matan Torah. The question becomes pressing when we learn from the Ramban that the miracles of Matan Torah supercede in their sheer greatness and impact those of Yetziat Mitzrayim. In the last part of the shiur we wil investigate how these two sets of miracles combine to form the very backbone of our Emuna.
