Description

We will present a thesis in understanding the Ramban that the first two of the ten Dibros are an Aseh and Lo Ta'asah regarding Emuna and serve as two halves of a single whole. This mitzva of Emuna has two parts to it: belief and a commitment to perform His Mitzvot. These are called Emuna and Kabbalas Ol Malchus Shamayim. In this shiur we will investigate the relationship between the first Dibra, "Anochi", and the two Names of God, and the experience of Yetzias Mitzrayim, and the Lav which appears in Parshas VaEtchanan of "Heshamer Lecha pen Tishkach" which enjoins us from forgetting the experience of Yetzias Mitzrayim and the Emuna derived thereof.
