Description

Rav Kook sees a basic difference between one who is raised and educated well towards honesty and ideals, as opposed to one who was raised problematically. Even if they both wish to change and improve, the challenges are totally different, and the ways of correcting that which was done wrong is also significantly different. The class also deals with the unique status of grandparents regarding educating their grandchildren, especially during the war today in Israel, where many parents have moved in with the grandparents who have a shelter. The Jewish stress on educating the next generation helps us understand a difficult passage in the Talmud regarding the King Yoshiahu.
