Description

There is a mistake in the story about R' Chayim concerning the akaidah. The accurate story is that R' Chayim in responding to a pshat that someone said about Avraham Avinu in the akaidah said that this person measures Avraham Avinu with his own kaputa. We cited this to illustrate by analogy the way some people attribute erroneously to HaRav Ahron zt"l mundane self-serving incentives and motivations in his struggle to prevent the community in Chicago from desecrating the Torah. These people do not have a kaputa. But, they measure HaRav Ahron with their own clothing.
