Masechet Eruvin 77b, reducing the 10 Tefachim height of a wall between two חצירות to allow for an Eruv between the two Chatzeiros, by setting up ladders on the two sides of the wall. We will discuss the two kinds of ladders, the מצרי ladder which is easily moved and does not qualify for מיעוט, as opposed to a Tzur ladder which is not easily moved from place to place and qualifies as מיעוט. We will discuss the relationship between the criterion for מיעוט and by analogy, the criterion for the איסור טלטול כלים בשבת.
