Masechet Eruvin 37a, Rebby Yossi's view on ברירה In one ברייתא regarding the wine for Terumah and Maaser - R' Yossi rejects ברירה. Yet in the case of קיני תורים it is R' Yossi who accepts ברירה! We will need to activate the method of איפוך. The status of קריאת שם at the time of the קנייה if undetermined, does the Kohen have the authority to determine the קריאת שם (i.e. חטאת ועולה) at the moment of the מליקה? The case of a חבר who bout fruits of דמאי for both himself and for his friend (the עם הארץ) - the permissibly of such a deal depends on ברירה. Rebby Yossi permits it!
