Description

Part 2 of an anticipated 3 on the similarities and differences of (1) the relationship between an eved ivri (Jewish slave) and an adon, and (2) the relationship between a poel (employee) and an employer. Looking at the views that a poel is not a form of eved, and therefore he may leave his job, and that he is similar enough to an eved that we are afraid of the similiarity and therefore we guarantee his ability to leave. Also: Definition of the poel-employer relationship. And does a poel have the ability to forfeit the right to leave?
