We are studying Masechet Bava Kamma 98b: The Mazik burnt the Shtar Milve & the Mazik cannot be forced to pay for the loss sustained by the Malveh (lender) who cannot collect the debt owed to him. Does this statement of Rabba contradict the view of Rebby Shimon who forces the Mazik to pay damages to the owner of an animal that was designated as a Korban? We will offer an introduction to the sugya of דינא דגרמי, the view of Rebby Meir that equates this case with a direct Hezek.
