Concluding points regarding taking care of trees during shemitah: 1. Are biblically prohibited tasks permitted when performed for the sake of maintaining tree health? 2. Does the permission to "maintain" tree health refer to preventing natural deterioration, or fending off external dangers? 3. Does the permission to "maintain" tree health refer only to protecting the tree, or does it include protecting the fruit?
