Collections: Moshe's Empathy for the Jewish People

Description

We are used to charismatic leaders who command attention and seem to be larger than life, so Moshe seems to be the worst possible choice. He is hesitant and by no means an “influential speaker,” but that is exactly the point. Judaism is built not on spectacle or charm, but on truth, humility, and compassion, embodied by a leader who focuses his attention on those in need rather than on himself. Setting Moshe against the arrogance and cruelty of Egypt, reframes the Exodus not merely as a physical liberation but a moral revolution replacing a world of cruelty and self-worship with a people defined by its empathy, humility, and compassion.
