Contextual interpretation is an amazing tool that helps deepen our understanding of Tehillim based on this systematic method of analysis. The building blocks for the series are introduced in this lecture. The first two Mizmorim serve as the prologue to the entire book and teach that these beloved mizmorim to David set up the basis for kingship in Israel when it is firmly grounded in Torah.
