Description

Masechet Eruvin 73b, an Eruv is required to permit carrying from one חצר to another, and a שיתוף is required to allow carrying in a מבוי. Could the Eruv replace the שיתוף or visa versa, or must we have both? We will analyze our Mishna and attempt to determine which view in the debate between R' Meir and the Rabanan regarding the issue above is reflected in our Mishna.
