Indeed, it is possible that kosher food cooking in a non-kosher pot remains kosher! But how do we extract the food safely? Let’s consider the case of a drop of milk on the outside of a ben yomo meat pot, both above & below the food line. Whether the droplet is below (Rema 92:6, Shach 92:19, 27) or above (Y.D. 92:5, Shach 92:18) the pot is prohibited. However, if milk lands below, the food is still kosher and Rema (92:6) requires to pour the food out the opposite side. If milk is above the food line there is a disagreement whether the food remains kosher. Shach (92:24) is lenient like Smak and Maharee that food is kosher and to pour food out of pot, but only after cooling.
