Masechet Eruvin 28b, the status of קור - the bark of a date palm - as far as טומאת אוכלין - where we consider it a tree and it is excluded - whereas regarding נלקחים בכסף מעשר it is included because it is פרי מפרי. This קור can be subject to cooking which would make it edible. We will study the status of כפניות in a similar light.
