How could Yosef instruct the Egyptians to embalm Yaakov - doesn't that violate halachah regarding burial, cheat the benefits of decay as described in the gemara, and cause pain according to one view in the gemara? (And wasn't Yaakov alive?) Multiple approaches to the problem.
