Description

In the end of the second perek, Shlomo Hamelech uses the imagery of a relationship with ‘a foreign woman’. While some place this as a literal temptation that our Torah-dictated moral compass must navigate, others explain it more figuratively, as committing to an ideology other than Hashem’s Torah. Both versions demand a moral fortitude, and beget severe consequences without it. In the end, depending on how well one holds their ground, blessings of one kind or another are in store.
