Description

The Kotzker Rebbe explains that the wayward son is punished ‘al Shem sofo’, his ‘end name’, which is “moreh”, to teach. It’s one thing to make mistakes, it’s another make others make mistakes. On the flip side, when we help others, we also help ourselves. The Sfas Emes explains that this is the meaning of ‘Hakem takim imo’, that you too will be supported when you support others.
