Masechet Sanhedrin 2a & 15b: Judgement of an animal accused of killing a man, how many Judges must sit on the Court and how many witnesses are required to condemn the animal to סקילה. What if the animal is owner-less? What if it is owned by a non-Jew? By the Kohen Gadol? What about a very dangerous animal that has not yet killed a man? Is there a possibility of putting an animal to death without a Beit Din, u.e. outside of the courtroom and a court decision?
